Elvenkind can assist you with your technical publications such
as manuals, doctoral theses and conference proceedings. For
several publishers, we have prepared textbooks and scientific
texts for print. We also work directly with authors. We offer the
following services:
- Setup. Building templates, stylesheets, LaTeX
classfiles. If you just start writing then you may realize after
a while that your working methods don't scale well to the size
and complexity of the job at hand. A good setup can provide the
structuring which keeps your project manageable. We can help
there.
- Preparing for professional printing. Adobe's pdf
format is especially suited to hand off your document to a
printshop or to make it available on the web. With pdf, it no
longer matters whether the receiver has the same fonts or the
same printer settings. Elvenkind assists you with achieving a
professional result.
- Conversions. From MS Word to LaTeX or
OpenOffice; converting graphics to formats suitable for the web
on the one hand or for professional printing on the other. Even
where ready-made solutions are available, there is often
unnecessary loss of quality and structure. We have the expertise
to achieve optimal results.
